The Preparatory meeting on the XVIIIth Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, i.e. the session of the Circle of Presidents, was held on 13 June 2018 at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague. Presidents or Deputy Chairpersons of 34 Constitutional or other member courts were present, out of a total of 41 members. Circle of Presidents adopted five resolutions – regarding request of Constitutional Court of Kosovo for associate membership (Resolution No. I.), approving organizational matters related to the preparation of the XVIIIth Congress (Resolution No. II. and III.), agreeing on distribution of general costs related to the organization of the Preparatory meeting (Resolution No. III.) and accepting the proposal of the Supreme Court of the Principality of Monaco to change the Conference Regulations (Art. 10 par. 1 and 2. – Resolution No. V.). Among other things it was also decided that the XVIIIth Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts will be held in Prague from 26 to 29 May 2020 and that it will address the topic "Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms: The Relationship of International, Transnational and National Catalogues in the 21st Century". 

At the end of this working meeting, Mr. Schnutz Dürr, representative of the Venice Commission, delivered the standpoint of the Venice Commission on current issues in constitutional justice.
